Vanthana Nolintha was conferred a Ph.D. in Economics by the Graduate School of Economics and Business Administration, Reitaku University on 14 March 2015. His doctorate research work was supported by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Ronpaku (Dissertation Ph.D.) Program from 2012-14. His thesis title is "The Effects of FDI on Economic Growth and Inequality in Laos."
