Malaysia Boleh
Dato' Seri Dr. Mohathir Mohamad, the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, introduced the slogan Malaysia Boleh (simply translated into English as "Malaysia Can Do it") in 1990s to encourage Malaysian society to have faith and confidence in itself. Since its inception, Malaysia Boleh has become a spiritual slogan for the Malaysian politicians, bureaucrats and their cronies in justifying their dedications and efforts for building a better Malaysia. Regretably, these efforts do not reflect the intent of Malaysia Boleh.
Here is a story that illustrates how the leaders and their subordinates (and cronies) use the spiritual slogan--Malaysia Boleh. Sadly, the truth is Malaysia "Mana" Boleh (literally translated into English as Malaysia Certainly Can Not Do It).
